Carlton & Gedling
Like all of our nurseries Carlton and Gedling is organised around the different age groups of children. This allows our daily routines, rest periods play and learning activities to be structured to individual developmental needs. All children will be dedicated a key worker who will work closely with them providing care and support and helping them feel happy, confident and secure.
We pride ourselves on making the transition for parents returning to work and children starting nursery as smooth as possible. Above all Carlton & Gedling day nursery offers young children time and space to explore, experiment, reflect and develop at their own individual pace: physically, socially, intellectually, linguistically and emotionally.
Come through the doors and you will find our baby and younger toddler unit in the spacious front room. This space acts as a home from home environment and also offers an area for messy play.On the other side of the entrance corridor we have the purpose built ball pool and play area, which is constructed to the highest safety standards and has two levels with slides and climbing apparatus.
To the right, you will find our newly built indoor ball pool. This soft play area comprises of two levels and includes a car wash and large slide! All children in the Nursery have access to this area throughout the year, offering an excellent place to burn off some energy!
Towards the back of the Nursery you will find our Older toddler and younger Pre- school rooms. Overlooking the Garden these rooms are spacious, light and airy and have direct access to the outdoor play area.
Outside, Carlton & Gedling not only boasts a large, shady garden but also an area of artificial grass giving children extensive space to play freely and safely with outdoor equipment including bikes, see saws and games.This area has recently been covered with a purpose built canopy, so that children can be involved in outdoor activities whatever the weather.
Upstairs the pre-school have their own space which resembles more of a school environment; here you will find play in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, a quiet space to look at books and the computer, and of course messy play!
