Arnold
Similarly to other nurseries in the Bear Care group, Arnold House Nursery is organised around the different age groups of children. This allows our daily routines, rest periods play and learning activities to be structured to individual developmental needs. All children will be dedicated a key worker who will work closely with them providing care and support and helping them feel happy, confident and secure.
We pride ourselves on making the transition for parents returning to work and children starting nursery as smooth as possible. Above all Arnold House day nursery offers young children time and space to explore, experiment, reflect and develop at their own individual pace: physically, socially, intellectually, linguistically and emotionally.
Inside, the Nursery is split over two levels. Downstairs you will find babies and other children under three. Our special baby unit offers a variety of stimulating toys for younger children and also offers extensive space for babies to explore safely. Younger and Older toddlers also have their own spaces, with areas for both messy and quiet play in a home from home environment.
Downstairs is also home to Teddy’s play land, the largest ball pool in the Bear Care group. Here you will find a three level soft play area with a slide, rope bridges, car wash and space to climb and explore safely.
Come outside and Arnold House also has a large rubberised playground. Here children can run, play and ride toys. The play area is also the perfect place for parachute games and summertime picnics.
Upstairs the Nursery caters for both younger and older pre-school age children. Rooms upstairs resemble more of a school environment and play is in line with Early Years Foundation Stage. Both younger and older pre-school have their own spaces with areas for quiet, messy and imaginative play. All children upstairs also have access to a computer and the language and literacy room.
